The coronavirus has claimed the life of a LaSalle County woman in her 90s. She’s the 59th person from the county to succumb to it. The LaSalle County Health Department reported her death Friday. The county is up to 2,104 cases so far with 1,529 recoveries as of Friday.
Also Friday, the state reported 4,554 new cases, the most reported in one day except for one day last month when the testing lab caught up on a backlog. The state has had 9,165 fatal cases out of 336,174 altogether.
