Peru Mayor Scott Harl asked people going to the city’s outdoor concerts this year what kind of band shell should be built. It was a close vote with option B winning.
He says those who voted on it asked for the bands to face north. It should be ready in time for concerts at Centennial Park next year.
Harl says around 300 people were there for most of the concerts. One drew a crowd closer to 400.
Harl talked about the concerts at last week’s city council meeting.
