Spring Valley man found guilty of shooting at Peru house with people inside

After two hours of deliberations Wednesday, a jury found 34-year old Semaj Jones of Spring Valley guilty of aggravated discharge of a firearm. He fired shots at his ex-girlfriend’s house in Peru in July. There were many people, including children, in the home at the time. The bullets didn’t hit anyone, but one person was hurt running away from the scene. Judge H. Chris Ryan will sentence Jones on December 21st.
