Ottawa Elementary School District is playing it day by day when it comes to the COVID 19 pandemic.

Ottawa Elementary School District Superintendent Cleve Threadgill says:

The Board will focus on practicing social distancing, cleaning thoroughly, take temps every day and isolate cases.

The District is monitoring the computers loaned for remote learners. They can see if students are spending time on sites such as You Tube and shut those computers down.

The board reminds that changes to that percentage are dependent on the Illinois Department of Public Health and what they decide.

Simple measures should be taken at home as well. If your student has COVID-19 symptoms such as a runny nose, fever, or diarrhea, don’t send him or her to school until they’ve been tested for the coronavirus.
