Half the counties in the state are on the Illinois Department of Public Health warning list for rising COVID-19 infection numbers. LaSalle County is included as of Friday’s update. The state is warning that people need to avoid large gatherings, keep their distances from each other when in public, wear masks, and take other precautions.
Also Friday, the LaSalle County Health Department announced the 63rd fatal case of coronavirus in the county. She was a woman in her 90s. Friday was the third day in a row the department announced a fatal case.
