Marseilles Elementary lets parents know about two COVID-19 cases Monday

CORRECTION: An earlier version of this story incorrectly said that two students are infected. The announcement from the district doesn’t say whether they are students or school employees.

Parents of Marseilles Elementary School children have been told of two coronavirus cases on Monday.

The school says it’s working with the LaSalle County Health Department to identify everyone who’s been in close contact with the two.

It’s also sanitizing areas where they were in school. The letter to parents doesn’t say whether they are students, teachers, or other employees.

Students and staff who are ill with COVID-like symptoms will promptly be placed in a separate supervised area away from others until they can be sent home.
