Ottawa’s Festival of Lights is cancelled—another COVID-19 casualty. The city’s Special Events Committee decided the best decision was not to have it because of the social distancing rules. The event draws a big crowd along downtown LaSalle St. and in Washington Park where the lights come on.
A city announcement says holiday displays will be put up at various parks instead. The city’s asking for display sponsors and will have a planning meeting next Thursday, November 5 at 4pm at City Hall.
