The Board announced that they are formally inviting representatives from Governor Pritzker’s Office and the Illinois Department of Public Health to attend the November 19th board meeting. Additionally, the IHSA will also seek representation at the meeting from the Illinois Principals Association, the Illinois Association of School Administrators , the Illinois State Board of Education and a coalition of nearly 200 school superintendents who recently contacted the Governor regarding school sports during the 2020-21 school year.

The Board revealed that among the 546 schools who responded to a survey, nearly 300 schools do not plan to start basketball on November 16 Cand another 212 schools remain unsure of their status. IHSA has 813 member schools

Saturday’s game between Maryland and third-ranked Ohio State in College Park is being canceled due COVID-19. Also Saturday’s showdown between Georgia and Missouri in Columbia has been called off due to a combination of positive tests and quarantining of others within the Tigers program.  The conference says December 19th may be a possibility to play the rescheduled game, as Missouri already had one of its games earlier this season postponed and moved to December 12th.

Tonight on Thursday Night Football, The Tennessee Titans will welcome the Indianapolis Colts to town.  The Titans lead the AFC South at 6-and-2.  The Colts are right behind Tennessee at 5-and-3.
