Former LaSalle County Judge Daniel Bute died Monday. He was 69.
Bute retired in 2016 after 11 years as a judge. Before that, he was a public defender in LaSalle County for 18 years. He had developed a reputation as someone who would vigorously defend his clients, whatever the situation was. He was also known for telling it exactly as he saw it.
