Monday Sports Update

Northwestern is 5-and-0 in the Big Ten for the first time since 1996 following its 17-7 victory over now 18th ranked Wisconsin Saturday night in Evanston.  Peyton Ramsey threw for 203 yards and two touchdowns for the Wildcats, who are now ranked 11th in the country.  The Wildcats are back in action next Saturday when they travel to East Lansing to take on Michigan State.

Illinois racked up 490 yards of total offense in a 41-23 win over Nebraska in Lincoln on Saturday.  Brandon Peters completed 18 passes for 205 yards and a touchdown for the Illini, who improved to 2-and-3.   Illinois hosts number-three Ohio State next Saturday.

The Chicago Bears were off this past weekend on a bye week and will face the Packers on Sunday Night Football.

The rest of the NFC North competed this weekend The Vikings lost to the Cowboys 31-28 in Minnesota. 

 

The Lions got dominated by Panthers in 20-0 in Charlotte and The Packers fell to the Colts in overtime 34-31 in Indianapolis.

Last night on Sunday Night Football, the Kansas City Chiefs outscored the Raiders 35-31 in Las Vegas.

The Buccaneers will host the LA Rams tonight on Monday Night Football in Tampa Bay. The Bucs are 7-and-3 while the Rams sit at 6-and-3..

 Robert Streb won the RSM Classic in a two-hole playoff over Kevin Kisner at the Sea Island Resort at St. Simons Island.  Streb picked up his second PGA Tour win.  His first was also at Sea Island six years ago.  

The pro wrestling world is saying goodbye to The Undertaker.  The WWE legend officially made his farewell announcement in the ring last night during the Survivor Series pay per view.   The 55-year-old wrestler, whose real name is Mark Calaway, made his WWE debut in 1990.
