Boston’s debut album is one of the biggest selling debut albums of all-time. It helped redefine the sound of Rock and Roll on the Radio as you can trace a shift in dynamics from many bands who’d been trying to break through, bands who were good, but weren’t getting the attention the deserved. Look at what bands like Journey and REO Seedwagon both did! You can easily point to a switch in sound and philosophy from their pre-Boston days, to their post-Boston days (that’s discussed in this week’s bonus content). But before you listen to this week’s episode, here are two questions to keep in mind:
- Is Boston really a band? Or is mainly just one guy.
- Who is the song ‘More Than a Feelin’ about?
You’ll get answers to both on this week’s roots!
