Cong. Kinzinger ready to vote to override NDAA veto

Cong. Adam Kinzinger plans to vote for overriding Pres. Trump’s veto of the National Defense Authorization Act. Kinzinger says the bill goes after China and Russia, and it bolsters the nation’s cyber defenses.

Kinzinger spoke on CNN’s State of the Union.

The bill authorizes $740 billion in defense spending for 2021. Trump vetoed it because it doesn’t repeal liability protections for web site companies for the content they carry. Trump also objected to renaming military bases that are currently named for Confederate officers and because it restricts the president’s power to use military money for construction projects.
