NEWS REPORTER/ANCHOR
WCMY 1430 and WRKX 95.3 JackFM in Ottawa, Illinois, has an immediate opening in its News Department for a Reporter/Anchor. This is an entry level position in an Award Winning newsroom that has a decades-long history of Broadcast Journalism excellence. While enjoying the lifestyle in a picturesque and dynamic community 80 miles from the Chicago lakeshore, you will work with an experienced and dedicated team that is focused on the NRG Media mission of “Great Local Radio”. Your duties will include developing and maintaining relationships with newsmakers and community leaders, anchoring newscasts as well as field reporting, covering meetings and events, filing stories for broadcast and website posting, and social media interaction with listeners and website visitors.
