Sandra “Sandy” Jordan
1947 – 2021
Sandra “Sandy” Jordan, 74, of Grand Ridge, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at the Morris Hospital with family by her side.
Sandra was born on November 8, 1946 in Ottawa, Illinois to Robert “Bob” and Barbara “Norma” (Cross) Midnight. She was a graduate of Ottawa High School. She married Emmitt Jordan on November 4, 1982.
Sandy was an avid cook and loved spending her time with family and friends. She loved nothing more than having her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren around. She always had time to spend listening and talking with anyone in need. She had an amazing sense of humor that kept family and friends laughing and smiling. There was never a time when she didn’t have an open door and an extra plate for anyone in need. She had a heart of gold and a kind word for everyone she met.
She is survived by her husband and best friend, Emmitt Jordan, four children. Shanda (Joe) Tamburino of Aurora, Tom (Susan Armentrout) Stevenson, of Ottawa, Billie Bekker of Streator, and Andrew Stevenson of Oglesby. Also, 13 grandchildren, JT Kopp, Kylie Kopp, Sophia Tamburino, Massimo Tamburino, Gianni Tamburino, Dayton Stevenson, Kira Stevenson, Riley Stevenson, Grace Stevenson, Briana Heinzeroth, Stephen Heinzeroth, Ricki Heinzeroth, and Justin Heinzeroth. Also, four great grandchildren, Melodi, Kara, Harmoni and Evelyn. She was so excited to have two more on the way. She is also survived by one brother, Robert (Charlotte) Midnight of Metropolis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Norma, two brothers, Michael and William, and a daughter, Hilary Jordan.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa.

Although she touched the lives of so many, there are no public services planned at this time.
