Jim was born April 8, 1959 in Streator, the son of Melvin and Margaret (Simons) Ohlendorf. He is survived by his sister, Rebecca (Mark) Ohlendorf Jobe; a daughter, Kate Vaughn; brother and sister-in-law, John and Cindie Lewis; nephews, Joe (Emily) Foster, Tyler (Abbey) Lewis, Sam (Danielle) Lewis, Chris (Shelly) Lewis, and Robert Lewis; nieces, Sarah Lewis, JoAnna (Kevin) Burress; several step-children, three great nieces, close family and friends. He was preceded to the heavens by his parents Melvin and Margaret Ohlendorf.

Jim was a passionate animal lover. He loved the Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Cubs. Jim liked cars and anything to do with cars. He enjoyed the company of his friends and family. Since retiring in 2014, Jim loved to travel. He liked taking short bike rides, long road trips, and airplane trips. He was always looking for the next adventure. The hole he leaves is greater than his 6’3” frame. It’s a void we will never fill. Please don’t just keep him in your hearts, keep him in your life. Remember his laugh and his smile
