Wayne Leal, 68, of Naplate, passed away Thursday, February 11, 2021 at OSF St. Francis in Peoria.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa.

Wayne was born on April 2, 1952 in Ottawa to Joseph and Cora (Miller) Leal. He was a graduate of Ottawa Township High School Class of 1971. Wayne married Kathleen Busch on October 17, 1981 in Sheridan. He worked for Mayou Roofing for over 30 years and he and his wife also owned and operated of Fireside Tap, in Naplate. Wayne enjoyed fishing, bowling and darts, and was a member of the American Dart League and the National Dart League. He also loved watching the Cubs and the Bears.

He is survived by his wife Kathleen of Naplate; two children, Brandon (Nicole Waterworth) Leal of Ottawa and Coral-Marie (Raymond) Manning of Cape Coral, FL; four grandchildren, Caleb and Blake Manning and Paisley and Reese Leal; brother Kevin (Heather) Leal of Ottawa; and sister, Patti (Jim) Myers of Ottawa.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Juanita Simmons; and brothers Michael and Randy Leal.
