Dennis M. Lenac, 58, of Dayton passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Ottawa Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with cremation rites.

Dennis was born March 12, 1962, in Ottawa, to Lawrence and Margaret (Nugent) Lenac. He married Kimberly Workman in 1983, and together they’ve spent 37 years. Dennis was a life-long mechanic and worked at Sierra Motors in Ottawa for more than 25 years before retiring. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and photographing nature, especially the eagles in front of his home. Dennis was a loving husband and father, but his true joy in life was being a papa to his grandbabies.

He is survived by his wife, Kim; three children, Amy (Brian) Hughes of Marseilles, Joshua (Danielle Attanasio) Lenac of NJ, and Miranda (Pete) Kiczula of Sugar Grove; his four grandchildren, Brooklyn, Brandon, Brenna, and Owen; three brothers, Paul, Tom, and Tim (Emily) Lenac; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
