Other games on the schedule tonight

The Ottawa Pirates travel to Rochelle to take on the Hubs.

The L-P Cavaliers will host the Plano Reapers.

Earlville is on the road at Depue.

Serena will defend their home court against Indian Creek.

 

Last Night Boys Results:

 

Marquette defeat Henry at Bader gym 64-39

Leading the way on senior night for the Crusaders was Nick Melvin with 19 points and Luke Couch added 14 points in the win.

Seneca won at home against  Low Point  64-44

Zach Phiefer and Trey Huach each had 13 points for the Irish.

 

Streator dominated Manteno at the Pops Dale Gymnasium 63-30

Jack Haynes led the Bulldogs with a game high 17 points and 13 rebounds. 

 

In Girls basketball

Earlville defeated Hiawatha 47-10 in Little Ten Conference play.

Elizabeth Browder led the lady Raiders with 14 points and eight rebounds,

The Lady Ottawa Pirates will host Rochelle at Kingman Gym

The Marquette Lady Crusaders head out to face St Bede.

The L-P Lady Cavaliers are home to take on Plano.

The Seneca Lady Irish travel to compete at Roanoke-Benson

 

The Ottawa boys bowling team defeated St Bede 

High rollers for the Pirates were Zander Parise with a team high 664 series score, Ty Trovero added a 556 series score and Colin Sheridan bowled a 238 for the win.    The Pirates take on Rochelle in Ottawa tonight.

 

Results from Junior High Girls Volleyball 

Marquette Academy defeated Waltham at all three grade levels. 

Leading the way for the eight grade Lady Knights was Kealey Rick with 9 aces and 2 assists.

In the 7th grade game Hunter Hopkins led the Lady Knights with 6 aces, 7 assists and 2 kills.

And in the 6th grade contest Kinley Rick led The Lady Knights with 10 aces and 2 kills. 

 

Illinois snapped a seven game winning streak with an 81-72 loss at Michigan State.  The 4th-ranked Illini were led by Trent Frazier’s’ 22 points and Ayo Dosunmu’s 17 points and nine rebounds.  The Illini return to the State Farm Center tomorrow to take on the Nebraska Cornhuskers in the home finale.

 

Notre Dame lost on the road Louisville 69-57.  The Fighting irish are now 9-12 on the season and will face Boston College on Saturday.

 

The Blackhawks beat the Blue Jackets, 6-5, in a shootout in Columbus.  Alex DeBrincat scored the lone shootout attempt to seal the win for Chicago. 

 

The Bulls Zach LaVine is an NBA All-Star for the first time in his career.  The Bulls veteran guard was selected as a reserve for the Eastern Conference team.   The Bulls host the Timberwolves tonight.  

 

Golfing legend Tiger Woods is recovering after a single-car accident in the Los Angeles area yesterday. LA County sheriff’s officials said there was no evidence of impairment.
