Last night  here on 1430 WCMY  Marquette Boys defeated St Bede Bruins at Bader Gym 63-49.  

  • Luke Couch had a career-high 23 points for the Crusaders 
  • Season high totals for Victor Mullen with 14 points and Logan Nelson scoring 11 points.

The Ottawa Pirates held on to win at Rochelle 61- 58

Anthony Cooper had a game high 25 points and added 7 rebounds in the victory.

Serena was dominated at home by Indian Creek 84- 52

Camden Figgins led the Huskers with 17 points in the loss.


L-P outscored the Plano Reapers 54-48   

The Cavaliers Drake Weber finished with a game-high 27 points

The Lady Ottawa Pirates celebrated senior night with a win over Rochelle 32-27 

Brooke Waddell had 10 points and Zoe Harris added seven points and eight rebounds for Ottawa. 


Marquette lost on the road to  St. Bede 49-40

  • Lia Bosnich led the way with 16 points and 13 boards For the Lady Bruins
  • Josie Eager finished with 11 points for Lady Crusaders


L-P won at  home against Plano 65-56. 

Lauren Klein scored 23 points and Brooklyn Ficek contributed 18 points to lead the Lady Cavaliers. 


Seneca lost at Roanoke-Benson

  • Brooklyn Giertz had 17 points and Kennedy Hartwig finished with 15 points for the Lady Irish.

The Ottawa boys bowling team beat Rochelle in Ottawa.

High rollers for the Pirates were Sean Miller with a 605 series score and  Zander Parise followed it up with a series score of 547.


The JV team also won,  Dakota Bowers rolled a high game of 169. The Pirates are home tonight against Sycamore. 


Streator girls bowling team Defeated Herscher 

Michelle Dobson led The Lady Bulldogs with a series score of 494  and a game high 178.


The L-P CO-OP BOYS SWIM team lost to Sterling 102-68

Joe Ovanic won the 200 freestyle and the 100 butterfly


Illinois welcomes Nebraska to the State Farm Center tonight in the regular season home finale.  Tonight is the lone home appearance over the final six conference games for the 4th ranked Illini


 Zach LaVine poured in a game-high 35 points as the Bulls held on to beat the Timberwolves 133-126 in overtime.  The Bulls host the Suns tomorrow night.


The Blackhawks close out a five-game road trip tonight against the Blue Jackets.  Chicago defeated Columbus, 6-5, in a shootout on Tuesday. 


José Abreu is reporting late to White Sox spring training in Arizona after testing positive for COVID-19.  The reigning American League MVP is said to be completely asymptomatic and believes he contracted a mild case of the virus last month.
