The Oglesby City Council has approved moving the annual electric rate adjustment from June 1st to January 1st at Monday’s meeting. This means that the new date will do two things that help Oglesby residents. Now instead of the update of charges being on the 1st of June it will skip this year and will start on January 1st 2022. The approval will also help small business by reducing the general service rate. That rate will be cut to 15%.
