Illinois prisoners can meet with visitors again soon

People who’ve been waiting to visit their loved ones in Illinois prisons will get to starting next week. The Illinois Department of Corrections halted visits in March last year to minimize the spread of the coronavirus. When visits resume, visitors will be screened for COVID-19 symptoms.

Starting next Monday, visitors can go to the Dixon and Stateville prisons. And Monday, April 26th, visits resume at Sheridan, Pontiac, and the Joliet Treatment Center, among others.
