Illinois House Republicans want to know when Democrats will act on ethics reform. St. Rep. David Welter says in the last year-and-a-half there have been charges against two former lawmakers and ComEd. In the ComEd case, the company is accused of trying to indirectly influence former House Speaker Michael Madigan. Welter asks how much more corruption must be exposed before Democrats, who control the House and Senate, pass a bill to handle it. He says there’s still debate on reforms that could have been agreed to and passed months ago.
