Lasalle County back to warning status for COVID-19

By Billy Thompson Apr 17, 2021 | 5:41 AM

The Illinois Department of Public Health has moved Lasalle County back into the orange zone because of COVID-like hospitalizations going up.
The increase has been happening for two weeks and by more than 20 percent.
There are 18 percent of ICU beds available which is still lower than the target.
This is an indicator that cases are going up and could lead to more restrictions in the future.
Until the county can get a handle on new cases, it will remain in the orange zone for now.
