A west-central Missouri farmer started corn planting on Monday but is now working around some rainfall.
Daniel Carpenter farms with his dad and two brothers in Ray and Carroll Counties. Carpenter tells Brownfield he’s taking what mother nature gives him.
“We’re not trying to push the corn planting window to quickly,” he said. We’re still kind of looking at slightly lower temperatures than we’d like to for corn planting. But, at the same time, it’s April and we’re ready to get started too.
