Unemployment goes up slightly from April to May

Unemployment climbed slightly from April to May. The Illinois Department of Employment Security says the LaSalle County rate went from 4.5% to 4.7%. Bureau County’s went from 3.6% to 3.8%. Putnam County’s went from 4.2% to 4.3%. The combined rate for all three counties climbed from 4.3% to 4.4%.
